back to rock and roll days.

Rock as the music says, is the form of high energy storm to ears. It gives immense energy and can depict the high pain or high joy. Feel in the music is always high as music tend to hit higher notes of scales.

Bollywood industry has been long time following the US music tastes. In early 80's where guitar and instrumental music was predominant with lots of blue's touch, bollywood too followed the same taste. Look at RD burmans all the Hits, they all are nice instrumentals with western touch. It did have lot of indian instruments but scales were western.
Lot of use of trumpets by kalyanji and anandji. There were few of them who purely believed in indian raga's. All songs were good as there were lot of innovations.

In late 80's US turned mad to Hip-Hop genre, that's where the bad days in bollywood started.
Punjabi bhagda's were taken as charm and thousands of blend videos made their way into the idiot box.

I stopped following bollywood music from then.
But now a days lot of people are starting back the flow of rock and use of real instruments rather then programmed beat.
Rehman with Roobaroo and lukka chippi showed that use of guitar can give you beat without any drums. So are shankar,Ehsan and Loy who used distortion padels heavily in their music in dil chahata hai.
Pritam though pick up the songs but he is keeping alive the tradition of instrumental music.
Nasal swami Reshmiyya also showed a talent towards using instrumental folk galore.

Overall I feel golden days of music are comming back which got lost after RD saab.
